As part of its annual review of development servicing charges relating to water, sewer, roads, drainage, open space and community facilities, Council is proposing to increase the current charges by 10% for the 2008-2009 Financial Year.

As a result of the Flood Prone Land Policy introduced by the NSW Government in 1984, a floodplain risk management plan must be prepared for each Local Government Area (LGA) in NSW. In August 2002 a Draft Floodplain Management Plan for AlburyCity Area was completed and submitted to The Department of Land and Water Conservation (DLWC – now The Department of Environment and Climate Change – DECC).
