Watch out for water hyacinth

13 April 2016

Did you know water hyacinth is one of the world's worst aquatic weeds? This is what it looks like and here's what you should do if you see it…

A South American plant, water hyacinth infests rivers, dams, lakes and irrigation channels. It devastates aquatic environments and costs billions of dollars every year in control costs and economic losses.

If you see water hyacinth we urge you to contact AlburyCity on 6023 8111 or the NSW Invasive Plants and Animals Enquiry Line on 1800 680 244.
