Models needed for 3D portraits
Do you know a Border resident who deserves to be immortalised in miniature?
We're seeking 15 Border locals to be scanned and turned into small 3D portraits for a travelling exhibition coming to the LibraryMuseum in Albury.
Media artists Jesse Stevens and Dean Petersen, of Cake Industries, are calling for the community to nominate unsung heroes, leaders or extraordinary people.
Their project, Simulacrum, uses scanning and 3D printing technology to create 3D portraits in a process inspired by 19th Century photography sittings.
The result will be an exhibition Experimenta Recharge, which will be on show at the LibraryMuseum from 27 February.
To nominate a local resident, contact Chris Amor by 31 January on 02 6023 8354 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
