Microchipping at Million Paws Walk
Pet owners can have their dogs and cats microchipped or update their microchip details at AlburyCity's stall at Hovell Tree Park as part of the RSCPA Million Paws Walk on Sunday 15 May.
AlburyCity officers will microchip dogs and cats for $20, check and update microchip details such as phone numbers, offer educational advice and answer any questions pet owners may have.
The RSPCA Million Paws Walk is a national fundraiser and the local event will start at Hovell Tree Park on Sunday at 9.30am. A 5km walk along the river will start at 11am and finish at 1pm.
There will be a barbecue, dog games, dog merchandise stalls, free vet checks, a pet show and other activities.
Dog owners are encouraged to register in advance and raise funds for the RSPCA. People can register at the RSPCA's website.
Money raised through donations and online fundraising will assist RSPCA NSW's regional shelters and volunteer branches in helping animals in need.
