Christmas memorial for families
AlburyCity is inviting members of the community to join in the annual Christmas Remembrance Service at Glenmorus Memorial Gardens in Union Road Glenroy on Wednesday 14 December.
The service, which will begin at 7pm, will include the reading of loved ones' names, carols and the opportunity to place a personalised ornament on a dedicated Christmas Remembrance Tree.
AlburyCity Mayor Cr Kevin Mack said the remembrance service provides an opportunity for families and loved ones to come together to support and comfort one another, in what is often a very difficult time of the year.
"While Christmas, for many, is a time for happiness and celebration, it is also a really tough time for a lot of people who have lost loved ones," Cr Mack said. "We have had wonderful feedback from families about this service in past years and it is important to provide this opportunity again for those who have had friends or family members buried or memorialised within Albury cemeteries."
Light refreshments will be served at the completion of the service.
