Albury and Lavington swim centres reopen
Albury Swim Centre will reopen on Monday 21 September and Lavington Swim Centre will reopen on Tuesday 6 October.
During the off-season, new heating units were installed at Albury Swim Centre to heat all the pools.
The kiosk has been upgraded and the waterslide and the stairs will be refurbished in coming weeks.
Lavington Swim Centre has had new shading installed over the barbecue area. Both swim centres have also received normal off-season repairs, maintenance and cleaning.
AlburyCity Mayor Kevin Mack said both pools were a great resource for the community and that he looked forward to them reopening.
"Albury and Lavington swim centres offer a great day out for the whole family," Cr Mack said. "Now that the weather is improving we should all be thinking about getting out there and getting more active."
Albury Swim Centre manager Paul Tanner encouraged the whole community to come and enjoy both swim centres as the weather gets warmer.
"We're helping people to stay sun smart with free sunscreen at both pools," Mr Tanner said. "I'd like to remind all pool users that while lifeguards are an important part of swim centres, they are not intended to replace the close supervision of parents and guardians."
Albury Swim Centre is off Wodonga Place, opposite Hovell Tree Park, and Lavington Swim Centre is in Moore St.
