Jingle all the way... to the Albury Sports Ground
AlburyCity has secured the Albury Sports Ground for the 2014 Carols by Candlelight.
Council signed off on the new venue with the Albury Tigers this week after QEII Square became unavailable due to the art gallery redevelopment. The event will be held on Wednesday 17 December.
"It's fantastic that we've been able to secure an alternate venue this year," AlburyCity's Team Leader Events Ros Walls said. "The Albury Sports Ground will suit our needs and has the capacity to host the huge crowd that attends Carols every year."
"We really appreciate the work of the Albury Tigers in helping us book the venue. The club has been fantastic to work with and incredibly willing to help us accommodate one of Albury's biggest events."
To further enhance this year's partnership with the Tigers Club, money raised by the sale of candles will be donated to the James McQuillan Future Fund in support of the injured Tiger.
Carols by Candlelight is one of the most popular events on the community calendar, attracting thousands of people annually.
"It's about bringing together families and the whole community to celebrate the spirit of Christmas in our beautiful city," Ms Walls said.
