Local Business Survey now open
The fifth annual Local Business Survey is now open. A joint initiative of Wodonga Council, AlburyCity and the Albury Wodonga Corporation, the survey will be distributed to more than 3000 businesses and responses will be accepted until Friday 30 August.
The survey will provide important insight into the health of the local economy and changes in the local businesses environment in the past five years.
All businesses are encouraged to complete the survey so the challenges and successes being experienced in the business community are better understood.
“Whether your business is located at home, online, in an industrial estate or in the CBD, we want to hear from you,” Albury Wodonga Corporation chief executive Officer Peter Veneris said.
“It is crucial that the business community is engaged as widely as possible so that various initiatives implemented in the future are robust and closely aligned to the needs and aspirations of local businesses.”
Andrew Graham, director and national head of business solutions at RSM Bird Cameron, believes survey results will be used to strengthen and support local business.
“The results of the Local Business Survey present a unique ‘owners’ insight’ into the local economy and will provide information at a local level that is otherwise unavailable.” he said.
“The survey will provide business operators with data to compare how their business is tracking against other local businesses and presents a great opportunity for businesses to contribute to shaping future direction in Albury Wodonga.”
Albury Wodonga businesses that haven't signed up to the directory for a free listing are encouraged to register. A summary of survey findings will be available at alburywodonga.gov.au from Friday 20 September, and will be presented to businesses at Albury, Northside and Wodonga Chamber of Commerce meetings. All individual business answers are kept strictly confidential.
