Hovell Tree Park
Located on the corner of Hume Street and Wodonga Place, Hovell Tree Park is named in honour of the famous explorers Hume and Hovell. The historic Hovell Tree marks the most southern NSW point of the Hume and Hovell Track.
Hovell Tree Park is a large riverside park with a playground, barbecue facilities, public toilets and a large open grassed area. The Wagirra Trail which links Wonga Wetlands to the Victorian Trails via the Union Bridge, runs along the rivers edge though the Park.
The junction of Bungambrawatha Creek Trail and Wagirra Trail (links Lavington to the river) is located in Hovell Tree Park. The proposed Riverside Tourist Precinct as (identified in the Murray River Experience Master Plan is also a long term vision for this park.
