It's child's play at the LibraryMuseum

After 11 years of loyal service to the community, the Albury LibraryMuseum will get an important 'refresh'.

Under the proposed draft budget, the Kidspace at the library will get a welcome makeover to add colour and flexibility with a focus on improving interactivity.

There'll be a mass hanging of mobiles to provide a colourful spectacle while shelving, furniture and wall coverings will be replaced.

The popular space is regularly used for story times, school visits and kids' activities - while it's also a haven for parents to read to and with their children. The idea of the refurbishment is to build upon those successes by not only making the space even more welcoming but also to create additional space for activities and events.

Funding in the draft budget will also allow for the re-carpeting of the library and changes to the customer service desks to improve the experience of visitors.

The LibraryMuseum welcomes up to 250,000 visitors a year.
