Who does Graffiti and why?
Graffiti is done by a wide range of people participating as individuals or in groups in their own neighborhoods or further afield.
Graffiti is often done as a means of self-expression, for peer recognition or to indulge in risk-taking behaviour and to defy the law and society.
Not all graffiti is illegal, unsightly or bad. Many artisans today bring new life and colour to derelict buildings and unsightly plant fixtures by undertaking commissioned works by businesses, Councils and other groups.
