New pets

When you bring a new pet into your home, get them off to the right start. That means making sure they’re registered, microchipped and desexed.

  • Microchip your pet

Under the Companion Animals Act 1988 you must have your dog or cat microchipped before they’re 12 weeks old. This enables you to keep track of your best mate.

    Desex your pet

We strongly encourage you to consider desexing your dog or cat. As well as preventing unwanted breeding, desexing will help your pet to live longer and make them less prone to roam and fight.
