Only people authorised by a child's parents can collect a child from care. When you complete your child's enrolment form you have the opportunity to nominate several people who can collect your child from care if you are unable to.
If your educator has not met one of your nominated people previously they will be asked to show identification when they collect your child from care. This ensures that our educators are not releasing your child to someone who is not authorised to collect them.
There may be times when all of your nominated people are not available to collect your child on your behalf. In this case you can call your educator and provide details on who will be collecting your child. You can also email the details to your educator. When the new nominated person comes to collect your child from care they will be asked to show identification.
